Convergéncia!
This very promising concept is actively developed in the Ostal, but also beyond the walls.
It has been shared for centuries by the Occitans and Iberian peoples, the convivencia: “the art of living together in mutual respect for otherness” (definition by Alem Surre Garcia, author and historian from Toulouse). Many actions are put in place throughout the year to bring this concept to reality. We specifically involve working class suburbs and citizens from immigrant backgrounds. It is one of the key subjects developed during the feast of saint John: The great Occitan festival that takes place every year at the Jardin des Plantes in Toulouse (around June 22-24).
